Dementia Canada asked us to produce a series of four videos to help demonstrate some accessibility skills to people in public workplaces who may deal with dementia patients from time to time.
Recognizing someone with dementia struggling with something can sometimes be simple, but approaching them in a non-threatening and helpful way takes skill.
Our helpful human in this scene demonstrates how to react, approach, and assist in a meaningful way.
We used real actors, background actors, and people living with dementia in these scenes. We are happy to report the videos were a huge success across Canada.
Yay for teamwork!
