It’s election season! But, to be fair, it’s always election season somewhere. And for the team at McMedia-AV.ca in Vancouver, BC, this means it’s press conference season somewhere!
Who loves a good press conference? We do!
Which is lucky, ‘cause press conferences are everywhere!
What we’ve learned over the dozens and dozens of doing press conference AV rentals and the many press conferences we have teched is that no one goes to them. Press conferences aren’t really for a live audience. They are for the press. Which we should have seen coming, because of the name.
But sometimes, names are deceiving.
Take, for example, the name “press-feed”. We always thought that was a catering table dedicated to our hard-working news reporting folks. Well, it’s not! Turns out “press conference” is an event mostly for the press. And it turns out “press-feed” is a piece of equipment that the “press conference” uses to feed audio out for the press, who are the audience at the press conference for their audience, who aren’t there because it’s a press conference not a live audience conference.
Confusing, right?? To be honest we may still be confused about some of the above facts.
ANYWAY, back to what we haven’t even told you we want to tell you about…we have press feeds for rent! And our press feeds are seriously the best around.
